Dan graduated with a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1981, an LL.B. from Queen’s University in 1984 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1986. He has been a partner since 1991. Dan’s practise is concentrated on motor vehicle insurance defence matters including a 60/40 split between tort and accident benefits issues. As well, he has expertise in property, commercial and social host liability and often provides coverage opinions. Dan has been the Secretary/Legal Chair of the Lifesaving Society of Ontario since 1990 and has been a competitive swimmer, water polo player and swim coach. This background gives him a unique perspective on swimming, boating, snowmobiling, recreational facility (public and private) losses as well as social host liability.
